On 1 September 2017, Paul Jennings will step into the role of Acting CEO at eftpos as Bruce Mansfield pursues new opportunities.

Bruce led the Company’s establishment in 2010, including the implementation of a significant transformation program incorporating chip, contactless, centralised processing and support for eftpos payments across mobile and digital devices.

“Bruce has indicated that following a rewarding seven years at eftpos, he is ready to move on and pursue new opportunities. The Board and Members of eftpos greatly appreciate Bruce’s leadership, and invaluable contribution to the formation and transformation of eftpos,” eftpos Chairman, Ms Vickki McFadden, said.

“With the transformation program nearing completion and the Company shortly to launch a number of major digital consumer and merchant initiatives, the Company will continue its evolution to meet the ever-changing demands of the payments market.”

“I’m honoured to have led eftpos through these important formative stages and would now like to focus my energy on areas such as suicide prevention, indigenous well-being, early childhood development, disease prevention and advanced treatment protocols,” Mr Mansfield said.

“I look forward to taking up a number of advisory roles and directorships over the coming 12 months in the corporate and philanthropy sectors, alongside my current Lifeline Directorship”.

The Board will commence the search for a new CEO immediately. Bruce will step down as Chief Executive Officer on 31 August 2017, with the Company’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr Paul Jennings, being appointed Acting CEO from 1 September 2017.
