SYDNEY, New South Wales — 21 February 2018 – eftpos, Australia’s domestic debit card payment system, today announced the appointment of Mr Stephen Benton as its new Chief Executive Officer.
eftpos Chairman, Ms Vickki McFadden, said Mr Benton, who is currently Head of Consumer Finance and Payments of the Westpac Group, had 25 years of experience in card payments and was ideally suited to guide eftpos through the next phase of its evolution.

Mr Benton will commence work at eftpos in May 2018.
“The Board of eftpos is delighted to appoint Stephen as the CEO. Stephen’s deep knowledge of the payments sector, domestically and internationally and his track record of delivering customer focussed solutions to achieve growth are key attributes we were seeking to lead eftpos in the next stage of its development,” Ms McFadden said.
