Chairman, Independent Director
Vickki McFadden joined the eftpos Board on 7 January 2016 and is a former investment banker with many years of boardroom experience. Vickki is Non-executive Director of Newcrest Mining Limited, Tabcorp Holdings Limited and Myer Family Investments Pty Limited. She is President of the Takeovers Panel and a member of the Advisory Board and Executive Committee, UNSW School of Business at the University of New South Wales and a member of Chief Executive Women. Vickki also Chairs the Audit Committee of each of Myer Family Investments Pty Limited and Tabcorp Holdings Limited.
Vickki has formerly served as Non Executive Chairman at SKILLED Group Ltd, a Non-Executive Director of Leighton Holdings Ltd, a Director and Principal at Centaurus Corporate Finance, and as Managing Director of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Australia.
As Head of Consumer Finance and Payments or Westpac Group, Stephen is responsible for credit cards, personal loans, overdrafts and payments for the Westpac Group of brands in Australia. The role is responsible for driving the end to end business performance, customer experience and strategy of these businesses covering consumer and business segments.
Before joining Westpac in July 2013, Stephen's prior role was as General Manager of Products at Bankwest with strategic and P&L responsibility for the bank's products across consumer and commercial banks.
Stephen has broad financial service experience having had leadership roles with small and large financial services organisations with a track record of delivering innovative customer solutions and business growth.
Brett Chenoweth joined the eftpos Board on 7 January 2016 and is a former digital media and telecommunications executive with significant boardroom experience. Brett is Chairman of Madman Entertainment, Chairman of Yellow Pages Group, Chairman of Creative Details Australia, Director of Canberra Data Centres (CDC), Chairman of the Advisory Board of HRL Morrison & Co., a Principal of the Bombora Group, a Director at Surfing Australia, a Director of Sellable Pty Ltd, Managing Director of HJB Limited and Director Noble Mineral Resources Limited.
Brett has formerly served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of APN News and Media and has held senior executive roles at the Silverfern Group, Telecom New Zealand, Publishing & Broadcasting Limited, ecorp, ninemsn and Village Roadshow.
Shane joined the Board in August 2017. He is the Head of Payments at Coles and has held this role since August 2014. Shane is responsible for the payment strategy, products and services provided to all Coles Group retailers. Shane has evolved his extensive payments experience over two decades and held various business roles across schemes, issuing, acquiring and retail businesses.
Kees Kwakernaak joined the eftpos Board in July 2017 and is Managing Director at First Data Australia & New Zealand. He has over 20 years of management and leadership experience in the corporate payments industry across the Asia Pacific.
Kees is responsible for the First Data business across the ANZ region, including the Global Business Solutions (GBS) and Global Financial Services (GFS) businesses. GBS includes First Data Merchant Solutions Australia and GFS includes First Data’s range of transaction, payment, issuing, acquiring and switching solutions.
Kees is also a Director of Australian Payments Network Ltd, First Data Merchant Solutions Australia Pty Ltd, First Data Network Australia Limited, Electronic Banking Solutions Limited, First Data Corporation Australia (Holdings) Pty Limited, First Data Resources Australia Limited, First Data Resources Investments Pty Limited, F.T.S. (NSW) Pty Limited and PaySys International Pty Limited.
Vinay Rao is the Head of Payments for Woolworths Ltd Australia. Vinay is responsible for the payments strategy, payment services, operational and compliance functions for the Woolworths group. Mr. Rao has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry having held various roles across payments, technology, digital business and enterprise delivery.
Prior to joining Woolworths, Mr. Rao held various positions at ING Direct, CBA and Wesfarmers.
Sarah Stubbings joined the eftpos Board in November 2017 and has 20 plus years’ experience in the financial services sector, including 17 years with ANZ. Sarah is currently the Head of Home Loan Product at ANZ and has worked in a number of other roles across Retail Banking at ANZ. Sarah is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and recently completed the 2017 Williamson Community Leadership Program.
Simone Van Veen
In August 2016, Simone was appointed as General Manager, Acquiring, HICAPS and Commercial cards for NAB where she is responsible for strategic development and business performance.
Simone has held various roles over the past 20 years within digital, transactional products, marketing and projects, providing her with broad experience across payments and other aspects of financial services. In addition to her experience within NAB, Simone has worked as a consultant and as a sole trader in both delivery and customer facing roles.
Derek Weatherley is the Chief Executive Officer of Indue Data Services Pty Ltd. Having joined Indue in 2000, Derek has held a number of senior executive positions throughout his tenure, including his initial appointment as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and, more recently, as Executive Director of Product, Sales and Strategy. Derek is also an Alternate Director of the Australian Payments Network Ltd, a Director of Ivey Pty Ltd and a Director of Trinity Securities Pty Ltd.
Derek has worked closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Team throughout his time with Indue. With a strong track record of delivering large and complex projects. Derek thrives on creating and leveraging strategic alliances and client relationships.
Stuart is General Manager, Payments Representation, Cash-Flow and Transaction Services, Institutional Banking and Markets at Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He has four decades of experience within the Commonwealth Bank Group, including retail and corporate banking, merchant acquiring, and payment systems. In addition to eftpos, Stuart’s other directorships include the Australian Payments Network Ltd, BPAY Pty Ltd, BPAY Group Ltd, and Charge Card Services Ltd.
