There are plenty! To begin with, eftpos gives your customers the option of paying with their own money, rather than relying on credit. It’s efficient, convenient and extremely safe, with low card fraud rates across the industry^. Plus, offering eftpos reduces the amount of cash you need to hold in your till, reducing your exposure to theft or misappropriation.
Don’t worry, they can still pay with eftpos using almost any debit card issued by an Australian bank, regardless of which logo it has on it. All they have to do is press CHQ or SAV when they pay, and the transaction will go through eftpos.
Just get in touch with your payment acceptance service provider (usually your bank). They’ll be able to take care of all your set-up and ongoing needs.
