Simple set up

Follow these simple steps to add your card to Apple Pay.

Apple Pay works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and later, and Apple Watch, to add your eligible eftpos card follow these simple steps;

  • On iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the plus sign. From there, follow the onscreen instructions.
  • On Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select “Wallet & Apple Pay,” then tap “Add Credit or Debit Card.” From there, follow the onscreen instructions.

Apple Pay works with; iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or later and Apple Watch.

Paying with eftpos using Apple Pay

To pay in stores, hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID. Your passcode can also be used to authenticate transactions.

On Apple Watch, just double-click the side button and hold Apple Watch up to the reader.

Security you know and trust

Security and privacy is at the core of Apple Pay. When you use an ANZ Access card on Apple Pay with eftpos, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on your device.

Real-time transactions

When using Apple Pay with eftpos, your transactions will be immediately debited from your account, helping you keep track of your spending.

Passcode and Touch ID verification

Apple Pay is protected by Touch ID and your device Passcode. For your security, when you make a purchase using Apple Pay, you must either use Touch ID or the Passcode for your device.


If you have both a Cheque and Savings account, with Apple Pay you can switch between them on your device with ease.

To change your account on iPhone, open the Wallet app, tap on your ANZ Access card, then choose the new account

To change your account on Apple Watch, double-click the side button and select your ANZ Access card, then firmly press the display and choose the new account.

How to identify if you have an ANZ eftpos Access Card:

If the eftpos logo appears on the front of the card, you are an ANZ Access Cardholder with eftpos.
