Test & Certification Analyst – Terminals

Position:          Test & Certification Analyst – Terminals

Type:               12 months Contract

This role will provide Certification and technical expertise supporting eftpos members and their service providers in certifying eftpos Chip and Contactless solutions for Terminals and Devices. You will also play a key role in determining appropriate certification requirements and outcomes for new projects.

More about the role:

  • Define the scope of certification for new initiatives 
by drawing on technical expertise in EMV standards
  • Develop terminal Level 2 and Level 3 test plans and tools
  • Provide second level support for chip and contactless issues
  • Maintain the chip and contactless inter-operability test plans
  • Conduct detailed reviews of test reports provided by specialist functional and security labs
  • Resolve technical issues relating to Chip cards acceptance at terminals
  • Liaise with internal technical working groups to provide inputs on any gaps in product/technical specifications
  • Keep Certification test tools current and up to date with the EMVCo standards and specifications
  • Updates of technical documentation including test scripts and libraries, test plans and user manuals

About you:

  • Minimum of 2-year experience as a terminals test analyst in the payments industry
  • At least 1-year specialist technical EMV 
  • Experience in writing and/or reviewing test scripts in an EMV card & terminal switching environment
  • Experience using specialist tools for Chip and terminal testing (such as Barnes/Collis, Finsim, INQ)
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and customers
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT
  • Detailed knowledge of AS2805, and related International and EMVCo standards, including interoperability requirements
  • Experience interpreting and testing against contactless and digital payments requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of secure payments
