What do I do if I receive a hoax or scam call or message?

If you have received a hoax/suspicious email or text claiming to be from eftpos:

  1. Do NOT click on any links
  2. Immediately forward the email or SMS to fraud@eftposaustralia.com.au
  3. Delete it from your inbox
  4. Block the sender if possible

Contact your bank or financial institution if you’ve:

  • shared your banking details in response to a hoax phone call, email or SMS
  • accidentally clicked on any links or downloaded any attachments
  • noticed any unusual transactions on your accounts

Remember that eftpos will never send you an email asking for your account details, financial details, or your login details from your bank or financial institution, Phone Banking, Mobile Banking or Internet Banking.
